Thank you for visiting my personal web page. The idea of having a web page was born in 1996 while I was in Dixie College. My first website was nothing special, few pages, located on Geocities.com. I have been adding more pictures and more content, and soon the need for a good design arose. I have renovated the design around middle of 1998 in order to unify the look of all pages and also to separate content into several categories. With more and more pictures I changed the design of the website to look like a photo album that the user can browse.
Sooner or later I knew it would come to this: the website grew too large to try to maintain every page in static HTML. Thanks to nice people at Grainline.com, that I used to work with, especially Kent Sortland, I was able to move the site onto the business server (read - no ad banners!) where I can manipulate ASP and server-side includes, which allowed me for greater flexibility with content. I was promising to deliver the new site in September of 2001, however my MBA got in the way. After I have finished my first semester I have promised myself that I will complete the side by December 21, 2001 so it will be online January 1, 2002.
I'm constantly scanning images and adding more pages. The goal of this website is to create a photo experience that can be view in time line or by categories for all my friends and for those who are interested in finding out new things. I write things from my own perspective and it is my own point of view. Also, this site is very heavy on graphics, so it might take some time for those who are using dial-up connection.
With all said above, you probably want to go back to the main page. Please do, browse, send feedback, I'll be glad to hear from you,
Sincerely,
Sergei
