DON'T BE CONFUSED BY TERM FINANCIAL AID THAT IS GIVEN ONLY TO US CITIZENS. MANY SCHOOLS THAT ACCEPT NON-US STUDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FOREIGNERS, SOME BASED ON TOEFL SCORE AND/OR GPA. WHEN CONTACTING A SCHOOL ASK IF THEY OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS OR ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.
I have went through a lot to get to where I am now. One one hand I can keep silence and let some people reinvent the wheel, but since I'm a nice guy I will shed some light on how to get in to universities in the US for almost free. Of course there is no such thing as free lunch, so there are few qualification the person should posses before school will start flashing cash in front of their eyes.

First, you must have good grades, not good, but excellent, this is the only way to get scholarship money.

Second, speak good English. Well, if you can read this page your English is OK. All colleges in the US require TOEFL test, do well on that one, you get some money.

And finally, know where and when to apply. I'm not going to tell you everything I know, since I would like you to do some work, but I will point out some schools that ACTUALLY do give money to foreign students. But remember that nothing is free, so colleges will make you work. There are a lot more technicalities in the process, but this should give you a good start. Well, good luck!

If you know or attended a college in the US that offers substantial financial assistance
to foreign students, fill out the suggestion form and I will post the college on this site.

VALLEY CITY STATE UNIVERSITY - website
My Alma Mater, located in Valley City, ND - if you are not afraid of cold, you get tuition and fees waiver and some additional scholarships. Left to pay - between - $1,000 and 4,000 a year that you can make up with on-campus job.

      WILSON COLLEGE - website
This is a women's college, located in Chambersburg, PA, Alma Mater of my fiancée. Get good grades and TOEFL and you are in for almost a full-ride, but you would have to work 20 hr/week to sort of pay some money back to school. Left to pay - between - $1,000 and 3,000 a year.

      COTTEY COLLEGE - website
This is a women's college, located in Nevada, MO. It is a 2-year college, has great potential of placing graduates in good 4-year schools.
