MY MOM'S VISIT - SUMMER 2002 |

When my mom came to visit Inessa and me in Las Vegas, we were deciding when big city in California should we take her to see. San Diego? Los Angeles? San Francisco? All those cities had great attractions, but we decided to drive up North to San Francisco. There were several reasons: we knew the city relatively well to show my mom around, she always wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge, and we also could make a stop over in Sacramento, where my mom could meet my host-family and also visit the site of the glorious high school days with Roseville High School.
FIRST TIME - for my mom, of course

Every year since the first year we came to the US, we visited San Francisco. And every time it as cold!!! But I really like the city despite rather chilly climate. There are so many things to see and do there. In fact, every time we go there, we try to do something new. We go to SFO to hang out on the famous Pier 39, visit SFMOMA museum, picnic in the Golden Gate park, grab some Chibureki and other food in the russian district, ride the cable cars from the Union Square, view the city from the Telegraph Hill and from the top of Embarcadero Center, enjoy authentic Chinatown, walk on the Golden Gate Bridge, drive through beautiful Presidio area, check out busy Market Street, and do so many more activities. SFO even became my favorite airport because I flew internationally from there on couple of occasions!
