  •   SALUTE EL CAPITAN - have to salute such a monumental mountain

YOSEMITE National Park. I heard a lot about it. So we decided to go there one weekend. So Inessa and I hopped into my Escort and rove four hours South of Sacramento to see this wonder. It was spring time but the park had plenty of snow and some roads were closed. We still drove in to the park and had a lot of fun. Of course we had to watch out for angry hungry bears who might have wake up early, but fortunately we didn't find any. But of course as usual urban tourists we enjoyed the scenery, took some pictures, mentioned the clarity of the air and drove home. Next time we should camp!

MORE PICTURES - nature at its best...

OK, this is not my picture. I was there when the park still had snow, but this is how it would look if we were to go there in summer. It has one of the most grandeur waterfalls I have seen, it is really narrow, but it runs year round, even when the snow around it freezes!

Inessa wanted a picture near the stream with the background of the waterfall. Unfortunately I couldn't fit the whole mountain and waterfall in this picture, but trust me, the waterfall is there.

To get to Yosemite valley (in the picture it is in the center) you have to through the tunnel, and when you come out of the tunnel, you see this incredible view. We decided to take a picture with the view of the entire valley.

Unfortunately for us, it was really foggy because the sun came out, but the valley was still cold. Thus you cannot see the entire valley in the picture, but you can see the waterfall on the right, and some part of El Capitan on the left, behind the pine tree.
